Scientific activities

Professor Matolín is involved in surface and interface physics for more than 40 years. His present scientific activities revolve mainly around hydrogen fuel cells. The main focus is on heterogeneous catalysis, with the aim of developing cost-effective catalysts for hydrogen fuel cells and water electrolyzers. Other related topics include applied electrochemistry, technical aspects of fuel cells, and applications of fuel cells.

     

 

Management activities

Prof. Matolín is the director of the SPL-HTC laboratories within CERIC-ERIC and a member of the faculty's Scientific Council.
