Two articles led by Dr. Khalakhan were published in the CERIC 2020 annual report in the section "Scientific highlights". The first article investigated phenomena that occur at the surface of a PtNi bimetallic cathode catalyst under altering oxidation-reduction environments [1]. In the second article, a combination of unique in situ techniques was used to reveal detailed information about PtNi bimetallic alloy degradation under simulated operating conditions relevant for a real PEMFC device [2].
