Award for outstanding results in research, experimental development and innovations

On November 29, 2017, the group leader, Prof. Vladimír Matolín, received the "Award for outstanding results in research, experimental development, and innovations" from the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The committee praised, in particular, these aspects of Prof. Matolín's work:

• world-renowned scientific advances in the development of advanced materials for hydrogen technology and patents for new electrocatalysts, that significantly reduce the cost of hydrogen fuel cells through a drastic reduction in the content of the precious platinum,
• assembling a team of excellent young scientists working in a state-of-the-art laboratory of a large research infrastructure, that has become the center of nanomaterial research for catalysis, and
• progressive transfer of the researched materials into practice.

Congratulations, this recognition was well deserved!
